Cedric, you obviously haven’t spent any time down there…it’s not “human”, it is stupid. It smells, the arguments at this point are not even coherent anymore, the point has been degraded to a hobo’s camp out. Now the park is not even enjoyable to anyone that wants to go for a walk. The biggest political movement in a while turned into the biggest mess nationwide. As far as the “homeless community” What do you think is wrong…having a homeless community is a shame, if you don’t see something wrong with that, then you are an idiot. There are ways to combat homelessness, obviously you haven’t considered that. As far as police violence…what police violence. The police, who are men and women working a job, have been around to keep the peace. The acts of violence are caused by the mindless protestors who are there simply to protest….anything else to contribute Cedric….thought not….

“Unhealthy conditions and the encampment’s attraction of drug users and thieves” isn’t filthy to you? I don’t mind a homeless community at all if it’s designated, but the current situation at Chapman Square is pretty intimidating for the average citizen (me). The movement is about a month old now and there hasn’t been any “police violence” in Portland. I don’t know what will happen tonight, but there hasn’t been any police violence that I’ve seen or read about.
